Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, a Mexican-American sportscaster. Her employer is ESPN and works as an SportsCenter News Anchor. In 2016, she joined ESPN. She is the child of television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is a bilingual woman and has been since when she was nine years old. This skill allowed her to land her first job with Univision, Miami. She could work with national producers on programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Then she was promoted to reporter for the CBS St. Petersburg affiliate in the following year. Then, in 2009 the news reporter relocated to Rio Grande Valley Texas where she was employed by KNVO TV 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. Reporting on stories about the issue of immigration and drug trafficking from both sides of the border, she served as a reporter on newscasts at 5 p.m. Spanish newscast a reporter and later anchor of news at 9 p.m. newscast in English as well as an anchor for the news at 10:30 p.m. Spanish newscast. She divorced her parents within a short time and in 1995, she married an naval designer by the name of Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died in 2006 of kidney cancer. While on a trip with the family in Ohio, the younger Collins had taken a position along with her sister. At the time of her senior year at high school, but with a clear idea what she wanted to do with her life Antonietta visited at the University of Mount Union to examine if it was a good fit for her preferences. The campus was a dream for her. The university also provided her with the degree she wanted. She completed her schooling and was admitted to the university with a degree studying media and communication studies. The relationship she formed was long-lasting with her instructor Mark Bergmann who was the supervisor for WRMU 91.1 FM, of which she was a member. Mark's passion for journalism and confidence in her own abilities encouraged her. She, in turn, tried to meet his expectations and never disappoint him.
